Father of Humanity- ADAM  -IMAD DAROUICH
 
لم تبدأ قصة الإنسان حين خطّت الأقلام على الورق،
The story of man did not begin when pens wrote on paper,
ولا حين شُيّدت المدن بالحجارة والآجر،
Nor when cities were built with stones and bricks,
بل بدأت حين نفخ الله في قبضةٍ من تراب،
But it began when God breathed into a handful of dust,
فتحول التراب إلى جسد، والجسد إلى روح، والروح إلى ملحمة.
Turning dust into a body, the body into a soul, and the soul into an epic.
 
هذه الملحمة ليست حكاية شخص واحد،
This epic is not the tale of one person alone,
بل هي قصة البشرية كلها،
But the story of all humanity,
فكل إنسان هو امتداد لآدم،
For every human is an extension of Adam,
وكل نفس تحمل في أعماقها صدى ذلك الخلق الأول.
And every soul carries within it the echo of that first creation.
في هذه الصفحات نقرأ ليس عن رجل عاش قبل آلاف السنين،
In these pages we do not read about a man who lived thousands of years ago,
بل عن المرآة التي تعكسنا جميعًا.
But about the mirror that reflects us all.
فآدم هو البداية،
For Adam is the beginning,
والبداية هي البذرة التي ما زالت تنبض فينا.
And the beginning is the seed still beating within us.
 
لقد اختار الله أن يجعل قصة آدم مسرحًا لكل المعاني الكبرى:
God chose to make Adam’s story a stage for all the great meanings:
معنى الطاعة، ومعنى السقوط، ومعنى التوبة، ومعنى الرحمة.
The meaning of obedience, the meaning of the Fall, the meaning of repentance, and the meaning of mercy.
معنى العدل والوصية، ومعنى الموت والبعث.
The meaning of justice and testament, and the meaning of death and resurrection.
كل ما عرفه البشر بعده،
Everything mankind has known after him,
إنما كان شرحًا مطوّلًا لفصول بدأت معه.
Was but an extended commentary on chapters that began with him.
تاريخ الحضارات حاول أن يكتب نفسه بعيدًا عن آدم،
The history of civilizations tried to write itself away from Adam,
لكن ظله بقي حاضرًا:
But his shadow remained present:
في معابد بابل، في أهرام مصر، في حدائق الأندلس، وفي مساجد دمشق.
In the temples of Babylon, in the pyramids of Egypt, in the gardens of Andalusia, and in the mosques of Damascus.
كلها محاولات لاستعادة صورة الجنة التي خرج منها.
All of them attempts to restore the image of the Paradise he left.
 
أهل التصوف قالوا:
The mystics said:
“آدم لم يكن أب البشر فقط،
“Adam was not only the father of mankind,
بل كان أول العارفين،
But the first of the knowers,
وأول من بكى شوقًا،
And the first to weep in longing,
وأول من عرف أن الله لا يُعبد بالخوف وحده، بل بالمحبة أيضًا.”
And the first to know that God is not worshiped by fear alone, but also by love.”
 
والفلاسفة قالوا:
And the philosophers said:
“آدم رمز الإنسان الأول،
“Adam is the symbol of the first man,
وكل ما جاء بعده من فكر وفلسفة،
And everything that came after him of thought and philosophy,
إنما هو حوار طويل مع تلك البداية.”
Is but a long dialogue with that beginning.”
 
وهكذا وُلدت فكرة هذه الملحمة:
And thus was born the idea of this epic:
أن نعيد سرد القصة من جديد،
That we retell the story anew,
لكن لا كحكاية جامدة في كتب التراث،
Not as a rigid tale in the books of tradition,
بل كقصيدة إنسانية ممتدة،
But as an extended human poem,
تجمع بين التاريخ والروح،
Bringing together history and spirit,
بين النص المقدس والحكمة الفلسفية،
Between the sacred text and philosophical wisdom,
بين دموع التوبة وأحلام الخلود.
Between the tears of repentance and the dreams of eternity.
هذه الملحمة في عشرة أجزاء،
This epic is in ten parts,
كل جزء منها فصل من حياة آدم،
Each part a chapter from Adam’s life,
وكل فصل مرآة لحياتنا نحن.
And each chapter is a mirror for our own lives.
