وأصوات الذين ما زالوا خلف الأسوار.
And the voices of those still behind walls.
هنا، الغوطة ليست مجرد جغرافيا،
Here, Ghouta is not just geography,
بل قصيدة طويلة من دموع وأمل.
But a long poem of tears and hope.
هنا جسرين ليست مجرد قرية،
Here, Jisreen is not just a village,
بل وطن صغير حملناه في قلوبنا ونحن في المنافي.
But a small homeland we carried in our hearts through exile.
قصائد هذا الكتاب هي شواهد:
The poems in this book are testimonies:
شاهد على بيت احترق،
A witness to a house burned,
وشاهد على مسجدٍ بُني ثم قُصف،
A witness to a mosque built then bombed,
 
وشاهد على قاربٍ غرق،
A witness to a boat that sank,
وشاهد على أمٍّ لم تفقد الدعاء رغم الفقد.
And a witness to a mother who never lost prayer despite loss.
إنه كتاب عن الغياب،
It is a book about absence,
لكنه أيضًا كتاب عن الأمل،
But also a book about hope,
عن جسرين التي ستظل واقفة،
About Jisreen that will always stand,
وعن الغوطة التي لن تموت،
And about Ghouta that will never die,
وعن قلوبنا التي لن تكفّ عن قول:
And about our hearts that will never cease to say:
"سنعود."
