هذه ليست حكاية جزيرةٍ بعيدة.
This is not a story about a distant island.
إنها حكاية نظامٍ يسمح للجزيرة أن توجد.
It is the story of a system that allows the island to exist.
كُتبت هذه الصفحات لأن الصمت طال.
These pages were written because silence lasted too long.
ولأن التأجيل صار سياسةً عامة.
And delay became public policy.
الكتابة هنا ليست انتقامًا.
Writing here is not revenge.
هي محاولة استعادة المعنى.
It is an attempt to recover meaning.
ومساءلة الموقع الأخلاقي للإنسان.
And to question the human moral position.
اقرأ ببطء.
Read slowly.
فما سيظهر ليس مريحًا.
What appears will not be comfortable.
 
إلى كل من حاول أن يتكلّم.
To everyone who tried to speak.
ولم يُصدَّق.
And was not believed.
إلى كل من صمت خوفًا.
To everyone who stayed silent out of fear.
ثم اكتشف أن الصمت لا يحمي.
Then discovered silence does not protect.
إلى الضحايا الذين حوّلوا الألم إلى شهادة.
To the victims who turned pain into testimony.
وإلى القارئ الذي لم يُدِر وجهه.
And to the reader who did not look away.
