هذا الكتاب
This book
ليس بيانًا سياسيًا،
Is not a political manifesto,
ولا نشرة تحريض،
Nor a bulletin of incitement,
ولا دعوةً للانقسام،
Nor a call for division,
ولا خطابَ كراهيةٍ
Nor a rhetoric of hatred
مقنّعًا بلغة الفكر.
Disguised as thought.
هذا الكتاب
This book
رسالة،
Is a message,
 
 
 
وشهادة،
And a testimony,
ومساءلة أخلاقية
And a moral interrogation
موجّهة أولًا
Directed first
إلى الكاتب،
To the author,
ثم إلى القارئ،
Then to the reader,
ثم إلى التاريخ
And finally to history
الذي لا ينسى.
Which never forgets.
نكتب هنا
We write here
لأن الأنبياء
Because the prophets
لم يأتوا
Did not come
ليبنوا دولًا،
To build states,
بل ليقيموا ميزانًا.
But to establish a balance.
قال موسى عليه السلام:
Moses, peace be upon him, said:
«لا تقتل».
“You shall not murder.”
 
 
 
كلمة واحدة،
One sentence,
لكنها
Yet it
أثقل من كل الجيوش.
Is heavier than all armies.
وقال عيسى عليه السلام:
Jesus, peace be upon him, said:
«طوبى لصانعي السلام».
“Blessed are the peacemakers.”
ولم يقل
He did not say
صانعي الهيمنة،
Makers of dominance,
ولا بناة الخوف.
Nor architects of fear.
قال رسول الله ﷺ:
The Messenger of God, peace be upon him, said:
«الخلقُ كلُّهم عيالُ الله»
“All creation are God’s dependents.”
«فأحبُّ الخلقِ إلى الله أنفعُهم لعياله»
“And the most beloved of creation to God are those most beneficial to His dependents.”
 
ولم يفرّق
He did not distinguish
بين دمٍ ودم،
Between one blood and another,
ولا بين اسمٍ واسم.
Nor between one name and another.
لذلك
Therefore
فإن هذا الكتاب
This book
يقف بوضوح
Stands clearly
ضد كل استخدام
Against every use
للنصّ المقدّس
Of sacred text
لتبرير القتل،
To justify killing,
أو مصادرة الأرض،
Or confiscation of land,
أو إلغاء الإنسان
Or erasure of the human being
باسم الله.
In the name of God.
 
 
ونُحذّر
And we warn
تحذيرًا أخلاقيًا صريحًا:
A clear ethical warning:
كل اقتباس
Every quotation
يُنتزع
That is taken
من سياقه،
Out of its context,
وكل فكرة
And every idea
تُحمَّل
That is loaded
أكثر مما تحتمل،
With more than it can bear,
وكل قراءة
And every reading
تسعى
That seeks
لتبرير العنف
To legitimize violence
هي خيانة
Is a betrayal
لروح النص
Of the spirit of the text
ولو استشهدت
Even if it cites
بألف آية.
A thousand verses.
هذا الكتاب
This book
 
 
لا يدّعي
Does not claim
امتلاك الحقيقة،
Ownership of truth,
لكنه
But it
يرفض
Refuses
تزويرها.
Its falsification.
نكتب
We write
لكي يبقى
So that
للضمير
Conscience
مكان
Has a place
حين تختنق اللغة،
When language suffocates,
ولكي لا يتحوّل
So that faith does not turn
الإيمان
Into a tool
إلى أداة حكم،
Of rule,
ولا تتحوّل
Nor history
الذاكرة
Into a weapon
إلى سلاح.
Of revenge.
أي قراءة
Any reading
لهذا الكتاب
Of this book
خارج هذا الإطار
Outside this framework
هي إساءة
Is a misuse
للكتاب
Of the book
ولمقصده
And its intent
وأخلاقه.
And its ethics.
نكتب
We write
لأن الأنبياء
Because the prophets
لم يطلبوا
Did not ask
أن يُدافَع عنهم،
To be defended,
بل أن يُصدَّقوا
But to be believed
في أخلاقهم.
In their ethics.
ومن لم يحتمل
And whoever cannot bear
هذا الميزان،
This balance,
فليغلق الكتاب،
May close the book,
فهو
For it
لم يُكتب
Was not written
لترضية أحد،
To please anyone,
بل
But
لإنقاذ المعنى
To rescue meaning
من التشويه.
From distortion.
