في هذه البلاد،

لا تُحاكَم الجرائم…

بل تُحاكَم النيّات.

والصمتُ جريمة مفترضة.
and silence is presumed guilty.

This is the epic of accusation that devours itself,
والإنسان الذي ينجو
and the human who survives
بأن يقول ببساطة:
by saying simply:
“أنا إنسان… وهذا يكفيني.”
