هذا الكتاب ليس خيانة، بل احتجاج.

Fear mingles with hope,
والمنفى بالذاكرة،

لتولد قصائد نثرية تفضح القمع وتعيد للوطن معناه الحقيقي.

هنا، يتردّد صوت محمد الماغوط كظلّ،
Here, the voice of Muhammad al-Maghout echoes like a shadow,
لكن هذه الكلمات أيضًا تحمل بصمة جيل جديد،
But these words also carry the imprint of a new generation,
جيل لم يعد يخاف من أن يقول:
A generation no longer afraid to say:
 
 
“سأخون وطني… لأني أريده أن يعود وطنًا.”
“I will betray my homeland… because I want it to return as a homeland.”
