هذا الكتاب ليس إعادة لصفحات عمارة الفقراء،
This book is not a retelling of the pages of Architecture for the Poor,
بل تحويلها إلى قصائد،
But a transformation of them into poems,
حيث يصبح البيت الطيني بيتًا للروح،
Where the mud house becomes a dwelling for the soul,
وحيث الجدار يتنفس كما يتنفس القلب.
And where the wall breathes as the heart breathes.
رأى حسن فتحي أن القبة سماء صغيرة،
Hassan Fathy saw the dome as a small sky,
وأن الفناء محراب مفتوح،
And the courtyard as an open sanctuary,
وأن الفقر ليس عيبًا بل ثروة،
And that poverty is not a defect but a wealth,
يُعيد الإنسان إلى الأرض،
Returning man to the earth,
ويجعله أقرب إلى الله.
And bringing him closer to God.
إنها قصائد في الطين والنور،
These are poems in mud and light,
قصائد للبيوت والقباب والفقراء،
Poems for houses, domes, and the poor,
قصائد عن معمارٍ لا يُشيّد بالحجر وحده،
Poems about architecture not built by stone alone,
بل بالحب، والصبر، والذاكرة.
But with love, patience, and memory.
