هذا الكتاب ليس دراسة تاريخية للفن الإسلامي،
This book is not a historical account of Islamic art,
ولا تحليلًا معماريًا جافًا للزخارف والأشكال.
Nor a dry architectural analysis of forms and ornaments.
إنه رحلة روحية–شعرية،
It is a spiritual–poetic journey,
مستوحاة من كتاب سيد حسين نصر الفن الإسلامي والروحانية.
Inspired by Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s Islamic Art and Spirituality.
هنا يصبح الحجر صلاة،
Here, stone becomes prayer,
ويتحول الضوء إلى لغة،
Light becomes language,
ويغدو الخط العربي تسبيحًا مكتوبًا،
And Arabic calligraphy a written glorification,
وتصير الزخرفة ذكرًا يتكرر إلى ما لا نهاية.
And ornament a remembrance repeating to infinity.
الفن في الإسلام ليس تمجيدًا للفنان،
Art in Islam does not glorify the artist,
بل ذوبانًا في الجمال نفسه،
But dissolves into Beauty itself,
ليشير العمل دائمًا إلى مصدره الحقيقي: الله.
So that the work always points back to its true Source: God.

About Seyyed Hossein Nasr
وُلِد سيد حسين نصر في طهران عام 1933،
Seyyed Hossein Nasr was born in Tehran in 1933,
ويُعتبر من أبرز فلاسفة الإسلام في القرن العشرين والحادي والعشرين.
And is considered one of the foremost Muslim philosophers of the 20th and 21st centuries.
كتب في الفلسفة الإسلامية، والتصوف، والميتافيزيقا التقليدية،
He has written on Islamic philosophy, Sufism, and traditional metaphysics,
وكان من أوائل المفكرين الذين أعادوا التأكيد على قدسية الفن الإسلامي.
And was among the first thinkers to reassert the sacred nature of Islamic art.
كتابه الفن الإسلامي والروحانية من أكثر أعماله تأثيرًا،
His book Islamic Art and Spirituality is one of his most influential works,
وفيه يقدّم الفن لا كزينة، بل كشهادة إيمانية وروحية خالدة.
