Between the Lion and the Rooster

منذ قرون، لم تكن الأمم تتصارع على العشب...For centuries, nations never truly battled on grass...

بل داخل المرايا التي تخفي وجوه التاريخ.They battled inside mirrors that concealed the face of history.

يدخل الأسد المغربي الملعب وكأنه يحمل صحراءً كاملة فوق كتفيه.The Moroccan lion enters as though carrying an entire desert upon his shoulders.

وتدخل فرنسا بثقل إمبراطورية تعرف كيف تربح... وتعرف أيضًا كيف تُحاصَر.France arrives with the weight of an empire that knows how to win... and how to be surrounded.

الكرة ليست كرة اليوم.Today, the ball is not merely a ball.

إنها سؤالٌ يتدحرج بين حضارتين.It is a question rolling between two civilizations.

كل تمريرة تشبه وثيقة قديمة تبحث عن توقيع جديد.Every pass resembles an ancient document seeking a new signature.

كل هجمة تعيد رسم حدودٍ لا تظهر على الخرائط.Every attack redraws borders unseen on maps.

الأسد لا يطارد الديك لأنه جائع.The lion does not chase the rooster out of hunger.

بل لأنه يريد أن يختبر معنى الزئير أمام صياح الفجر.He seeks to measure the roar against the cry of dawn.

والديك لا يخاف الأنياب.The rooster does not fear the fangs.

لأنه يؤمن أن الصوت قد يسبق القوة أحيانًا.He believes that a voice may sometimes arrive before strength.

الجماهير ليست في المدرجات فقط.The crowd is not confined to the stands.

هناك ملايين الأرواح تجلس فوق ذاكرة القارات.Millions of souls sit upon the memory of continents.

ينتظرون هدفًا... يشبه اعترافًا متأخرًا.Waiting for a goal... that feels like a delayed confession.

وتنتظر الكرة من يمنحها معنىً جديدًا.The ball waits for someone to give it a new meaning.

أما توقعي...As for my prediction...

فلا أؤمن بالمباريات التي تُحسم قبل أن تبدأ.I do not believe in matches decided before they begin.

لكنني أؤمن أن المغرب سيجعل فرنسا تدفع ثمن كل متر من العشب.But I believe Morocco will make France pay for every meter of grass.

وأؤمن أن فرنسا لن تتخلى بسهولة عن عرش الخبرة.And I believe France will not surrender the throne of experience easily.

قد تُحسم المباراة بهدفٍ واحد...The match may be decided by a single goal...

وقد تمتد إلى الوقت الإضافي...Or it may reach extra time...

لكن الشيء الوحيد المؤكد...But one thing is certain...

أن من يغادر الليلة منتصرًا...Whoever leaves victorious tonight...

لن يحمل ثلاث نقاط فقط...Will carry far more than a victory...

بل سيحمل قصةً جديدةً يضيفها التاريخ إلى دفتره الذي لا يمتلئ أبدًا.He will carry a new story for history to write into its book that is never truly complete.
