دمشق... عندما يبكي الحجر والإنسان

دمشق ليست مدينةً على الخريطة...Damascus is not merely a city on a map...

إنها ذاكرةُ حضارةٍ عمرها آلاف السنين.It is the memory of a civilization thousands of years old.

واليوم...And today...

عاد صوتٌ كنا نظن أننا ودعناه إلى الأبد.A sound returned that we believed had vanished forever.

كل انفجارٍ في دمشق...Every explosion in Damascus...

لا يهزُّ الجدران فقط،Does not shake walls alone,

بل يهزُّ قلوب ملايين السوريين.It shakes the hearts of millions of Syrians.

فالمدينة التي علمت العالم الأبجدية،The city that taught the world civilization,

لا تستحق أن تُكتب أخبارها بالدم.Does not deserve to have its story written in blood.

نحزن على الضحايا،We mourn the victims,

وندعو بالشفاء للجرحى،And pray for healing for the wounded,

ونقف مع كل أسرةٍ فقدت عزيزًا.And stand beside every family that lost a loved one.

لكننا في الوقت نفسه،At the same time,

نرفض أن يتحول الألم إلى كراهية،We refuse to let grief become hatred,

أو أن تتحول المأساة إلى وقودٍ للانتقام.Or tragedy into fuel for revenge.

الحقيقة حقٌ للضحايا.Truth is the right of the victims.

والعدالة حقٌ للوطن.Justice is the right of the nation.

وسيادة القانون هي الطريق الوحيدThe rule of law is the only path

الذي يحفظ الأرواح ويمنع تكرار المأساة.That protects lives and prevents another tragedy.

اللهم احفظ دمشق،O God, protect Damascus,

واحفظ سوريا،Protect Syria,

واحفظ كل مدينةٍ تريد أن تعيش بسلام.And protect every city that longs to live in peace.

رحم الله الضحايا،May God have mercy on the victims,

وشفى الجرحى،Grant healing to the wounded,

وجعل هذا الألم آخر الأحزان.And make this sorrow the last of its kind.

سوريا تستحق أن تُبنى بالأمل... لا بالخوف.Syria deserves to be rebuilt with hope—not fear.
