ولا السياسة خطابات.Nor politics speeches.

ولا الملوك أساطير.Nor kings legends.

بل نكتب الإنسان.We write humanity.

حين يقترب من السلطة.When approaching power.

وحين يبتعد عنها.And when losing it.

كل إمبراطورية بدأت بحلم.Every empire began with a dream.

ثم واجهت الواقع.Then faced reality.

وكل ثورة عظيمة.Every great revolution.

بدأت بسؤال صغير.Began with a small question.

ثم أصبحت تاريخًا.Then became history.

في هذه الملاحم.Within these epics.

لا نمجّد المنتصرين.We glorify no victors.

ولا نلعن المهزومين.Nor curse the defeated.

بل نفهم اختياراتهم.We understand their choices.

وثمن قراراتهم.And their consequences.

وقف الإسكندر الأكبر.Alexander the Great stood.

ولد عام 356 ق.م.Born in 356 BCE.

فتح نصف العالم.He conquered half the world.

ولم يفتح قلبه.Yet never conquered himself.

ثم جاء يوليوس قيصر.Then Julius Caesar arrived.

ولد عام 100 ق.م.Born in 100 BCE.

عبر نهر الروبيكون.He crossed the Rubicon.

وتغيرت روما.Rome changed forever.

لكن الخناجر انتظرته.Daggers awaited him.

ثم جاء أغسطس.Then Augustus appeared.

وبنى الإمبراطورية.He built the empire.

بقوة القانون.Through the power of law.

ثم جاء صلاح الدين.Then Saladin arrived.

ولد عام 1137.Born in 1137.

جمع بين السيف.He united the sword.

وبين الرحمة.And mercy.

واستعاد القدس.He reclaimed Jerusalem.

وبقي احترامه حيًا.His honor endured.

ثم جاء جنكيز خان.Then Genghis Khan arrived.

ولد عام 1162.Born in 1162.

وحّد القبائل.He united the tribes.

وغيّر آسيا.He transformed Asia.

ثم جاء نابليون.Then Napoleon appeared.

ولد عام 1769.Born in 1769.

غيّر أوروبا.He changed Europe.

ثم غيّرته السلطة.Then power changed him.

ثم جاءت الثورة الفرنسية.Then came the French Revolution.

عام 1789.In 1789.

سقط العرش.The throne collapsed.

وولد عصر جديد.A new age emerged.

ثم جاء أبراهام لينكون.Then Abraham Lincoln arrived.

ولد عام 1809.Born in 1809.

دافع عن الاتحاد.He defended the Union.

وألغى العبودية.He abolished slavery.

ودفع حياته ثمنًا.He paid with his life.

ثم جاء غاندي.Then Gandhi arrived.

ولد عام 1869.Born in 1869.

واجه الإمبراطورية.He faced an empire.

بلا سلاح.Without weapons.

لكن بالإرادة.Only with conviction.

ثم جاء ونستون تشرشل.Then Winston Churchill appeared.

ولد عام 1874.Born in 1874.

حارب بالكلمات.He fought with words.

قبل المدافع.Before cannons.

ثم جاء نيلسون مانديلا.Then Nelson Mandela arrived.

ولد عام 1918.Born in 1918.

خرج من السجن.He emerged from prison.

دون رغبة بالانتقام.Without seeking revenge.

واختار المصالحة.He chose reconciliation.

ثم جاء مارتن لوثر كينغ.Then Martin Luther King arrived.

ولد عام 1929.Born in 1929.

حلم بالمساواة.He dreamed of equality.

وغيّر أمة كاملة.He changed a nation.

ثم انهار جدار برلين.Then the Berlin Wall fell.

عام 1989.In 1989.

وسقطت حدود كثيرة.Many boundaries collapsed.

لكن أخرى بقيت.Others still remained.

التاريخ لا ينام.History never sleeps.

ولا يتوقف.Nor does it stop.

إنه يعيد الأسئلة.It repeats the questions.

بوجوه جديدة.With new faces.

في هذه الملاحم.Within these epics.

سنقرأ الإمبراطوريات.We will read empires.

والثورات.Revolutions.

والجمهوريات.Republics.

والممالك.Kingdoms.

والدساتير.Constitutions.

والانقلابات.Coups.

والمعاهدات.Treaties.

والحروب.Wars.

والسلام.Peace.

لا لنحكم سريعًا.Not to judge quickly.

بل لنفهم بعمق.But to understand deeply.

فالسلطة تمتحن الجميع.Power tests everyone.

والتاريخ لا ينسى.History never forgets.

وهذه الملاحم.These epics.

ليست عن الحكام فقط.Are not only about rulers.

بل عن الشعوب أيضًا.But about peoples too.

لأن الأمم.For nations.

هي التي تكتب.Ultimately write.
