The Epic of Those Who Return

ليس الطريق إلى الجنة خاليًا من السقوط...The road to Paradise is not free of falling.

بل خالٍ من الإصرار على السقوط.It is free of insisting on remaining fallen.

لم أكن أعلم أن الله خصّ الأوّابين بهذا الوعد العظيم.I never knew God reserved this magnificent promise for those who return.

﴿هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِيظٍ﴾“This is what you were promised—for every one who constantly turns back to God and guards His covenant.”

من هو الأوّاب؟Who is the Awwāb—the one who constantly returns?

ليس إنسانًا لم يخطئ قط.Not someone who has never sinned.

وليس ملاكًا لا يعرف الزلل.Nor an angel untouched by failure.

بل إنسانٌ إذا تعثر عاد.But a human who rises every time he falls.

وإذا ظلم اعترف.Who admits when he has wronged.

وإذا أذنب استغفر.Who seeks forgiveness after every sin.

وإذا أساء أصلح ما أفسد.Who repairs what he has broken.

فالعودة إلى الله أعظم من ادعاء الكمال.Returning to God is greater than pretending perfection.

إنابة واحدة قد تغيّر مصير عمرٍ كامل.One sincere return may rewrite an entire lifetime.

خلق الله البشر ليخطئوا... لا ليصرّوا على الخطأ.God created human beings to err—not to cling to error.

فلا أحد يولد كاملًا.No one is born perfect.

ولا أحد يعيش بلا ذنب.No one lives without fault.

ولكن الفرق بين الأرواح... هو طريقة العودة.The difference between souls lies in how they return.

آدم أخطأ... ثم بكى.Adam sinned... then wept.

وإبليس أخطأ... ثم تكبّر.Satan sinned... then became arrogant.

آدم قال: ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا.Adam said: “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves.”

وإبليس قال: أنا خيرٌ منه.Satan said: “I am better than him.”

هنا بدأ تاريخ الرحمة.There began the history of mercy.

وهناك بدأ تاريخ الكِبر.And there began the history of arrogance.

ولهذا وصف الله أنبياءه بالأوّابين.That is why God described His prophets as those who constantly returned.

عن سليمان قال: نعم العبد إنه أواب.Of Solomon He said: “An excellent servant—indeed, he constantly returned.”

وعن أيوب قال: نعم العبد إنه أواب.And of Job He said the very same words.

لم يكن مدحهم لأنهم لم يبتلوا.They were not praised because they never struggled.

بل لأنهم لم يبتعدوا عن الله حين ابتُلوا.They were praised because they never abandoned God in hardship.

القرآن لا يمجّد من لا يذنب.The Qur’an does not glorify those who never sin.

بل يمجّد من لا يُصرّ على الذنب.It honors those who refuse to persist in sin.

﴿وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلُوا وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ﴾“And they do not persist knowingly in what they have done.”

ليست المشكلة في السقوط.The tragedy is not the fall.

بل في تحويل السقوط إلى أسلوب حياة.It is turning the fall into a way of life.

فالذنب لحظة...A sin may last a moment...

أما الإصرار فقد يصبح عمرًا كاملًا.Persistence in it may consume an entire lifetime.

كم نحتاج اليوم إلى الإنابة.How desperately our world needs repentance today.

في البيوت قبل المحاكم.In homes before courtrooms.

وفي القلوب قبل المنابر.In hearts before pulpits.

وفي السياسة قبل الشعارات.In politics before slogans.

وفي العلاقات قبل الكلمات.In relationships before speeches.

أن نعترف قبل أن نُفضح.To confess before we are exposed.

وأن نعتذر قبل أن نُجبر.To apologize before we are forced.

وأن نردّ الحقوق قبل أن نلقى الله.To restore rights before we stand before God.

الإصرار على الخطأ ليس شجاعة.Persisting in wrongdoing is not courage.

وليس قوة شخصية.Nor is it strength of character.

بل هو الوجه الآخر للكِبر.It is merely another face of arrogance.

والكبر هو المرض الذي أسقط إبليس.Arrogance was the disease that destroyed Satan.

أما التواضع... فهو الطريق الذي أعاد آدم إلى الجنة.Humility was the path that led Adam back to divine mercy.

الخاتمة Finale

ليس السؤال: كم مرة أخطأت؟The question is not: How many times did you fail?

بل: كم مرة عدت؟It is: How many times did you return?

فالله لا يغلق أبوابه أمام التائبين.God never closes His doors to those who sincerely return.

بل يغلقها أمام المتكبرين.He closes them only to those imprisoned by arrogance.

فيا رب... اجعلنا من الأوّابين.O Lord, make us among those who always return to You.

إذا أخطأنا تبنا.When we fail, let us repent.

وإذا ظلمنا اعتذرنا.When we wrong others, let us apologize.

وإذا ضللنا الطريق... أعدتنا إليك.When we lose our way, lead us back to You.

فربما لا يدخل الجنة من ادّعى الكمال...Perhaps Paradise is not entered by those who claimed perfection...

بل من امتلك شجاعة العودة إلى الله.But by those who had the courage to return to God.
