ليست المدن العظيمة أبراجًا فقط.

Great cities are not towers alone.

بل أحلامٌ تمشي بين الناس.

They are dreams walking among people.

وليست السياسة مقاعد وسلطة.Politics is not seats and power.

بل مسؤولية تجاه المستقبل.It is responsibility toward the future.

في نيويورك، مدينة التنوع الكبرى،In New York, the great city of diversity,

تُكتب الحكايات كل يوم.Stories are written every day.

وتولد الأحلام من جديد.And dreams are reborn.

وتلتقي الثقافات في شارع واحد.Cultures meet on one street.

وفي لحظات نادرة،And in rare moments,

يتحول التصويت إلى رسالة.Voting becomes a message.

وتتحول الصناديق إلى صوت.Ballots become a voice.

ويتحول الأمل إلى حدث.Hope becomes an event.

بالنسبة لكثيرين من أبناء الجاليات،For many community members,

لم يكن هذا مجرد استحقاق سياسي.This was not merely politics.

بل لحظة اعتراف ومشاركة.It was recognition and participation.

لحظة تقول للجميع:A moment saying to all:

أن لكل صوت قيمة.Every voice has value.

ولكل إنسان مكانًا.Every person has a place.

ولكل حلم فرصة.Every dream has a chance.

نيويورك لم تُبنَ بالحجر فقط.New York was not built by stone alone.

بل بجهود المهاجرين أيضًا.But by immigrants as well.

بأحلام القادمين الجدد.By dreams of newcomers.

وبعرق العامل البسيط.And labor of workers.

وباجتهاد الطلاب والمعلمين.And dedication of students and teachers.

وبإبداع الفنانين والمهندسين.And creativity of artists and architects.

لهذا كانت قوة المدينة دائمًا.That is why the city thrives.

في تنوعها لا تشابهها.Through diversity, not sameness.

وفي انفتاحها لا انغلاقها.Through openness, not isolation.

وفي قدرتها على الاحتواء.Through its ability to embrace.

لا على الإقصاء والاستبعاد.Not exclusion and rejection.

إن الديمقراطية الحقيقية تبدأ هنا.True democracy begins here.

حين يشعر الإنسان أنه مرئي.When people feel seen.

وأن صوته مسموع.And their voice heard.

وأن قصته مهمة.And their story matters.

وأن مستقبله ليس هامشيًا.And their future matters.

لقد أثبتت التجارب دائمًا.History repeatedly proves.

أن المجتمعات الأقوى.The strongest societies.

هي التي تفتح أبوابها.Are those opening doors.

ولا تغلقها.Not closing them.

وتبني الجسور.Building bridges.

ولا تبني الجدران.Not walls.

وتستثمر في الإنسان.Investing in people.

قبل استثمارها في الإسمنت.Before investing in concrete.

نحن أبناء هذه المدينة.We are children of this city.

بكل لغاتنا ولهجاتنا.With all our languages.

وبكل أصولنا وثقافاتنا.And all our cultures.

لسنا ضيوفًا عابرين.We are not temporary guests.

بل جزء من حكايتها.We are part of its story.

وجزء من مستقبلها.Part of its future.

وجزء من نجاحها.Part of its success.

ولهذا فإن المشاركة السياسية.Therefore political participation.

ليست ترفًا ديمقراطيًا.Is not a luxury.

بل واجبًا أخلاقيًا.It is an ethical duty.

وحقًا مدنيًا أصيلًا.And a civic right.

فالمدينة التي يسمع فيها الجميع،A city where all are heard,

هي مدينة أكثر عدلًا.Is a more just city.

والمدينة التي يشارك الجميع،A city where all participate,

هي مدينة أكثر قوة.Is a stronger city.

أما الطريق إلى المستقبل،As for the road ahead,

فلا يزال طويلًا.It remains long.

ولا تزال هناك تحديات كثيرة.Many challenges remain.

لكن الأمل الحقيقي،Yet true hope,

لا يولد من الشعارات.Does not come from slogans.

بل من العمل اليومي.But from daily work.

ومن الإصرار والصبر.From perseverance and patience.

ومن الإيمان بالممكن.From belief in possibility.

وفي النهاية،And in the end,

تبقى نيويورك أجمل.New York remains beautiful.

حين تعكس جميع أبنائها.When it reflects all its people.

وتبقى الديمقراطية أقوى.Democracy remains strongest.

حين يشعر الجميع بالانتماء.When everyone belongs.

ويبقى المستقبل أكثر إشراقًا.And the future grows brighter.

حين نصنعه معًا.When we build it together.
