التطرف لا دين له

EXTREMISM HAS NO RELIGION

في كل عصرٍ يظهر ظلٌّ قديم.In every age an old shadow appears.

يتغيّر اسمه أحيانًا.Its name sometimes changes.

لكن جوهره يبقى واحدًا.Yet its essence remains the same.

إنه التطرّف.It is extremism.

عدوّ العقل والإنسان.The enemy of reason and humanity.

وعدوّ الحضارة أيضًا.And the enemy of civilization.

التطرف لا يولد من الدين.Extremism is not born from religion.

بل يولد من الجهل.It is born from ignorance.

ومن الخوف والكراهية.From fear and hatred.

ومن استغلال الإنسان للإنسان.And human exploitation.

إنه مرضٌ فكري.It is an intellectual disease.

يرتدي أقنعة كثيرة.Wearing many masks.

مرةً باسم العقيدة.Sometimes in religion.

ومرةً باسم القومية.Sometimes in nationalism.

ومرةً باسم الثورة.Sometimes in revolution.

ومرةً باسم الحرية.Sometimes in freedom.

لكن النتيجة واحدة دائمًا.Yet the result is always one.

المزيد من الألم.More pain.

والمزيد من الانقسام.More division.

والمزيد من الخراب.More destruction.

لو تأملنا التاريخ جيدًا.If we study history carefully.

لوجدنا حقيقة واضحة.We find a clear truth.

كل الأديان عرفت متطرفين.Every religion had extremists.

وكل الأمم عرفت متعصبين.Every nation knew fanatics.

وكل الأفكار عرفت منحرفين.Every ideology knew distortions.

لكن لا يمكن اختزال الدين.A religion cannot be reduced.

في أفعال المتطرفين.To extremists' actions.

كما لا يمكن اختزال الإنسانية.Nor humanity be reduced.

في جرائم بعض البشر.To crimes of some people.

المسيح دعا إلى المحبة.Christ called for love.

ودعا إلى التسامح.And called for forgiveness.

ودعا إلى الرحمة.And called for mercy.

ولم يدعُ إلى الكراهية.Never to hatred.

والإسلام كذلك.Islam likewise.

جاء رسالة رحمة.Came as mercy.

ورسالة عدل.A message of justice.

ورسالة كرامة إنسانية.A message of human dignity.

قال الله تعالى.God says in the Quran.

"وما أرسلناك إلا رحمة للعالمين.""We sent you as mercy."

وقال النبي الكريم.The Prophet also taught.

"إن الله يحب الرفق.""God loves gentleness."

الرفق لا العنف.Gentleness, not violence.

والرحمة لا القسوة.Mercy, not cruelty.

والعدل لا الانتقام.Justice, not revenge.

حتى في الحروب.Even during war.

وُضعت أخلاقيات صارمة.Strict ethics were established.

تحمي الأبرياء والضعفاء.Protecting innocents and vulnerable.

وتمنع الظلم والاعتداء.Preventing injustice and aggression.

فكيف يمكن مقارنة ذلك.How can that be compared.

بجرائم جماعات متطرفة؟With extremist crimes?

كيف يمكن اختزال أمة كاملة؟How can an entire community.

في أفعال فئة منحرفة؟Be reduced to a fringe group?

إن ذلك ظلم مضاعف.That is double injustice.

ظلم للحقيقة أولًا.Injustice to truth first.

وظلم للبشر ثانيًا.And to people second.

المشكلة ليست في الدين.The problem is not religion.

بل في توظيفه الخاطئ.But its misuse.

وليست في النصوص.Nor in sacred texts.

بل في قراءة منحرفة لها.But distorted interpretations.

وليست في الإيمان.Nor in faith itself.

بل في استغلاله سياسيًا.But political exploitation.

التطرف يكره الأسئلة.Extremism hates questions.

لأن السؤال يوقظ العقل.Because questions awaken minds.

ويكره المعرفة.It hates knowledge.

لأن المعرفة تحرر الإنسان.Knowledge liberates people.

ويكره الفن.It hates art.

لأن الفن يفتح النوافذ.Art opens windows.

ويكره العمارة الجميلة.It hates beautiful architecture.

لأن الجمال مقاومة.Because beauty resists darkness.

كل حضارة عظيمة.Every great civilization.

بُنيت على التنوع.Was built upon diversity.

وعلى الحوار والاختلاف.Dialogue and difference.

وليس على الإقصاء.Not exclusion.

فدمشق ازدهرت بالتنوع.Damascus flourished through diversity.

والأندلس ازدهرت بالتنوع.And Andalusia too.

وبغداد ازدهرت بالتنوع.Baghdad flourished through diversity.

وحين غاب التسامح.When tolerance disappeared.

بدأت الحضارات بالتراجع.Civilizations began declining.

إن معركتنا الحقيقية اليوم.Our true battle today.

ليست بين الأديان.Is not between religions.

وليست بين الشعوب.Nor between peoples.

بل بين الوعي والجهل.But between awareness and ignorance.

بين البناء والهدم.Between construction and destruction.

بين التسامح والكراهية.Between tolerance and hatred.

بين المستقبل والماضي المظلم.Between future and darkness.

لا نحتاج إلى مزيدٍ من الجدران.We need fewer walls.

بل إلى مزيدٍ من الجسور.And more bridges.

لا نحتاج إلى الصراخ.We need less shouting.

بل إلى الإصغاء.And more listening.

لا نحتاج إلى الخوف.We need less fear.

بل إلى الثقة المتبادلة.And greater trust.

فالحضارات لا تُبنى بالغضب.Civilizations are not built by anger.

بل بالقانون والمعرفة.But by law and knowledge.

وبالتعليم والعدالة.Education and justice.

وباحترام الإنسان.And respect for humanity.

مهما كان دينه.Whatever the faith.

ومهما كانت خلفيته.Whatever the background.

ومهما كان لونه.Whatever the color.

فكرامة الإنسان واحدة.Human dignity is one.

والمستقبل يتسع للجميع.The future belongs to all.

فلنرفع أصواتنا بالوعي.Let us raise awareness.

لا بالكراهية.Not hatred.

وبالكلمة لا بالعنف.With words, not violence.

وبالبناء لا بالهدم.With construction, not destruction.

فالتطرف لا دين له.Extremism has no religion.

أما الرحمة والمحبة.But mercy and love.

فهما لغة جميع الأنبياء.Are the language of prophets.

ولغة جميع الحضارات العظيمة.And all great civilizations.
