لا تضع أساسك على العجلة،Do not lay your foundation in haste,

فالخرسانة التي تُسكب في الغضبFor concrete poured in anger

تتشقق عند أول مطر.Will crack at the first rain.

أغلق بابك بإحكام،Lock your doors firmly,

لكن افتح نوافذك للشمس،But open your windows to the sun,

فالبيت الذي يخاف الضوءFor a house that fears the light

تصيبه رطوبة العتمة.Will drown in damp darkness.

احذر العروض اللامعة،Beware of offers that shine too brightly,

فأجمل الواجهاتFor the most dazzling façades

قد تخفي جدرانًا خاوية.Often hide hollow walls.

اختر من يسكن معك بعناية،Choose who shares your roof with care,

فالرفيق هو سقفك،For a companion is your ceiling,

إما ظلّك البارد،Either your shelter,

أو شقوقك القادمة.Or your fracture to come.

ازرع في باحتك شجرة أمل،Plant a tree of hope in your courtyard,

فالمدن التي بلا خضرةFor cities without greenery

تشيخ سريعًا،Grow old,

والقلوب التي بلا أملAnd hearts without hope

تنهار كجدار بلا دعامات.Collapse like walls without beams.

كن شجاعًا،Be brave,

ولو لم تكن كذلك،And if you cannot,

فاصنع قوسًا يوحي بالقوة،Draw an arch that whispers strength,

حتى لو ارتجفت أعمدته في الخفاء.Even if its pillars tremble in secret.

اترك في كل زاوية جمالًا،Leave beauty in every corner,

ولو كان مجرد ابتسامة،Even if only a smile,

فالحياة لا تحتاج دائمًاFor life does not always need

إلى أعمدة من رخام،Columns of marble,

بل إلى نافذة واحدةBut a single window

يدخل منها الضوء.To let the light in.

لا تنفق بلا مخطط،Do not spend without a blueprint,

ولا تكدّس الفوضى في الممرات،Do not clutter your halls with excess,

فالفوضىFor chaos

قد تُسقط حتى القصور.Can bring down palaces.

حين تدق الفرصة بابك،When opportunity knocks,

لا تتركها في الردهة،Do not leave it in the hallway,

أدخلها إلى بيتك،Invite it in,

وقدّم لها كرسيًا،Offer it a chair,

فربما لن تزورك مرتين.For it may never visit twice.

تعلم القواعد كمهندس،Learn the rules like an engineer,

ثم اكسرها كفنّان،Then break them like an artist,

فالصرامة وحدها تصنع سجنًا،For rigidity alone builds prisons,

والحرية وحدها تصنع خرابًا.And freedom alone builds ruins.

دوّن أحلامك على ورق،Write your dreams on paper,

وضعها في جيبك،Tuck them in your pocket,

كما نضع المخططات في حقائبنا،As we carry sketches in our case,

فكل برج يبدأ بخطٍ صغير،Every tower begins with a single line,

وكل حياة تبدأ بفكرة.Every life begins with an idea.

دلّل من تحب،Cherish those you love,

لكن لا تُفسد الأساس،But do not spoil the foundation,

فالماء الزائد يهدم الجدار،For too much water ruins a wall,

كما يهدم الجفاف الحديقة.And drought kills the garden.

وأخيرًا...And in the end...

لا تنسَ أن أجمل المبانيRemember:

هي التي تُشيَّد بالعطاء،The most beautiful structures

لا بالأخذ،Are built with giving,

وبالحب،With love,

لا بالخوف.Not with fear.

لأننا، في النهاية،For we are all architects,

لسنا سوى مهندسينDrawing emptiness,

نرسم فراغًا،Carving spaces for the light,

ونترك فيه مكانًا للضوء،Leaving room for hope,

كي يمرّ الأمل،So it may pass through,

ويكتمل المعنى.And meaning may rise.
