who wakes up surrounded by screens,
مُثقلًا بالأرقام،
burdened by numbers,
ومطالبًا أن يكون
and required to be
كل شيء
everything
في الوقت نفسه.
at the same time.
نكتب عن الفرد
We write about the individual
حين يتحول إلى ملف،
when he turns into a file,
وإلى بيانات،
into data,
وينسى
and forgets
أنه كائن يشعر.
that he is a feeling being.
هنا نصل إلى الملحمة الأخيرة،
Here we arrive at the final epic,
لا لأنها الأحدث زمنًا،
not because it is the most recent in time,
بل لأنها الأقرب إلينا.
but because it is the closest to us.
في هذه الملاحم،
In these epics,
لا نكتب عن ملوك،
we do not write about kings,
ولا عن أنبياء،
nor about prophets,
ولا عن قادة جيوش،
nor about generals,
بل عن الإنسان
but about the human
الذي يعيش الآن.
who lives now.
الإنسان المعاصر
The contemporary human
الذي يختار الأخلاق
The one who chooses ethics
في زمن السخرية،
in an age of cynicism,
والبطء
slowness
في زمن السرعة.
in an age of speed.
هذه الملاحم
These epics
لا تعد بالخلاص،
do not promise salvation,
ولا تقترح يوتوبيا،
nor propose a utopia,
بل تقول:
but say:
كن إنسانًا،
Be human,
وهذا يكفي.
and that is enough.
نكتب عن الوحدة
We write about loneliness
في المدن المكتظة،
in crowded cities,
وعن الصمت
about silence
في عالم يصرخ.
in a screaming world.
عن الخوف
About fear
الذي لا اسم له،
that has no name,
لكنه يسكن الصدر.
yet lives in the chest.
في هذه الملاحم،
In these epics,
لا يكون البطل الأقوى،
the hero is not the strongest,
بل الأصدق.
but the most sincere.
